MZ 125 RT

Hi all

Helping my brother choose a 125 for his son. One that caught my eye was an MZ 125 RT (also a trail version SM I think). they have a water-cooled four-stoke engine but I know nothing much about them - other than they appear to have a bit more poke than the CG125 derived stuff.

Anyone got any insights?

I don't know much about them myself except that they are starting to be very collectable and prices are going up, if it's a decent price might be worth getting as investment, you might find more info on a facebook group called Great fun on small bikes, you will need to join to be able to post anything, there are a good few knowledgeable people on their some of which ride MZ's and CZ's

They are well built and specced and as I recall, are sleeved down from 150cc. They built them to be reliable. little touches like copper grease on the fittings and a lot of stainless.

Only thing is it's MZs own motor so you might struggle for parts for them.
