Wouldn't buy one - too many flappy straps. If you gave me one, it would go straight in the bin.

Ignoring the fact that this is SPAM.

Watched the video. Quite like that. I wouldn't use it as a backpack because I don't use backpacks unless I really have to, but the fact it's been thought through to use as a tail pack relatively easily enough is a good thing. I would think again about the metal hooks for mounting, though.

Also not too convinced on the waterproofing at the top, given it's got a draw-string then an over-flap. Mount that wrong as a tail pack and I can see stuff getting wet.

Thanks for your comments. I don't know why my post is regarded as SPAM. You pointed out a good concern on waterproofing. I didn't think of this potential problem before. Maybe I would change the design to zippered top. I personally don't like roll top.

What if the straps are removed and keep the functionalities in another ways?

Agreed and also the flappy straps thing - on Motorways they are annoying and look uncool.. Is the wearer always induced to make star jumps too? not sure I'm up to that these days.

Finally since you've already made these (clearly) why the crowd funding?

I quite like it, especially the helmet holder. I do think it could do with some way to stop the ends of the straps flapping about when riding. I've seen some bags have a bit of elastic wrapped around the straps to do this.
tail mounting could be better too, why not add some buckles on the side and then have a strap you can clip underneath it? like this does https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/274797

It is spam, but if OP is trying to make a dedicated motorbike product, I feel like that should be encouraged. I had a little look at the video and I've seen worse. Some feedback though -

*The helmet net is not secure enough. Those hooks might be ok for walking round, but if you were carrying a helmet for a pillion while riding, I'm not trusting I won't catch those hooks on something and have the lid flying down the road. The same applies to that glove strap thing, I'm not trusting a pair of £50 gloves with that.
*More reflective panels.
*The bungees for tail pack use need to be permanently attached or have a dedicated pocket. Otherwise they'll just get lost or you'll have left them in the house when you need them.
*The "air flow" back panel has no actual channel for the air to flow, it's just flat, and will therefore do nothing. Either fix it, remove it, or stop promoting it as a feature.
*Anything claiming to be PREMIUM in all caps, isn't.
*Plus all the stuff the other guys have mentioned.

This is what your up against - Google ads just flagged it for me.

I like this one - not fussy, good price.

Other products do similar things for less money.

It's literally the first rule of BCF - https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=21811 - and appears at the top of every forum.

Looks like the sort of backpack that I get for free at work to carry a laptop. I have 5 of them in a cupboard, forever unused.

It's an ugly waterproof backpack with fold-out pockets. That is not new. I would go in one or two directions:

1. Make it integrate with one or two existing pannier systems, like c-bow frames. You can get shoulder bags or hard panniers that mount on the c-bow, but not a backpack.

2. Make it look good. It looks like a black box made of synthetic material, and it looks cheap. Do it in canvas or vegan leather if you want to sell it to hipsters.

I was ready to weigh in but that's actually not a bad effort. I have no use for an external clip-on capability, nor the side meshes. The fold-over top cover looks loose and I'd prefer a zip. What's with the "acccessories"? Sod that.

I was dubious about the helmet carrier until I saw it. I'd probably use that, and I haven't used a rucksack with a similar system before.

I always ride with a rucksack and my favourite has been the Deuter Futura 28L, although they've gone and turned it into a girls rucksack (anatomically, and it has a flower). Happily Trespass are selling a near clone of the old one, the DEIMOS DLX 28L. The "Aircomfort" frame on the Deuter is good, although their patent must have run out because I've seen it on other makes.

It's a flooded market though, full of established brands. What are you bringing to the table that's new?

To OP.

If it was a request for feedback only I doubt it would bother people too much. A motorcycle item and not spamming and you would get more comments without some of the (slight) abuse.

However soon as you throw the crowd funder into the equation you open yourself to visits from nobcat and co.

And a spam Thumbs Down from me.

Watched the video. Firstly, I would like to say I would prefer a more sporty and aggressive look, but let's leave that to one side for the moment.

Let's suppose this bag is in production, and I've bought it. I want to go to the supermarket or the post office in the next town, because it's a chance to ride my bike and take a detour. Therefore I take the bag. I spend a couple of minutes attaching it to the rear seat, with all that complicated rigging, with elasticated pulleys, draw strings, etc. I can fit only a couple of things inside there, because it's in its collapsed state when affixed to the back seat. I suppose that could be my letter or the small package I want to drop off at the post office. I can't fit my chain inside, so I just wrap it around and lash it over the bag somehow. I get my boots and gloves and helmet. I put on my armoured trousers and jacket. I leave out the sat nav because I know the route. I take my liability action camera, and connect it all up. Finally, I jump on the bike and start it. Great. I enjoy the ride. It took me 10 minutes to get ready, and your product has done nothing to shorten my prep time.

When I get there, nothing has fallen off the back seat. So far, so good. I get off the bike, take off the helmet, and carefully unhook the webbed stuff, paracord and nylon attaching the bag to the bike. I expand the bag with all these pulleys and things on the side. I stuff my helmet into the elasticated thing at the back. I lock the bike. I take my action camera with me, and put it in the bag, and take out my letter and small package. Good thing I'm not in a hurry today. I jump up and down a few times to make sure the helmet and gloves are secure in the bag. All good. I walk up to the post office. Someone inside opens the door for me. No, you first, I insist. Thank you very much, etc. My helmet smacks him/her in the face as I enter the shop. Oh, I'm really sorry. No worries, accidents happen. I walk inside the aisle and prepare a really simple sentence for the portly old fellow who owns the corner shop (oh, I mean post office). He understands, gives me my receipt, I say thank you, turn around and knock over his entire Lotto jackpot stand, and his sweets and legal highs shelf. All my fault for being so clumsy, and nothing to do with the fact that this bag with a helmet inside sticks out too far to be able to navigate an average corner shop aisle.

Besides which, it looks poorly constructed to handle the weight. It doesn't seem strong enough. I don't trust the elastic, etc.

Helmets are awkward to carry around sometimes, so what are my alternatives?
Well, I could buy any rucksack I like instead, and leave the helmet locked to the bike when I leave it, perhaps with a bicycle security cable or shackle.

Those are my thoughts.
