The absurdity of that shoplifting incident mentioned in BLF has pushed me to potato limit and I think I ought to list things that are racist. Mentioning any of these thereafter will lead to a hate non crime investigation.

Getting caught Shoplifting
Coronavirus
Climate Change
Cycling
Swimming
Formula One
Anti-Israel Demonstrations
Pro-Israel Demonstrations
Thin Blue Line
STEM subjects
Slavery (except the 1400 year long Barbary slave trade where slaves were castrated and accidentally offsprings killed hence there are no descendants)
Brexit

You'd have done better to have a list of things that aren't racist. It's much shorter Rolling Eyes

I'd say Strictly was top of the list on things that aren't racist because of the BBC's Insightful inclusion of Nicola Adams and female partner ticking three out of four virtual signaling boxes.

1. BAME
2. Female
3. Gay
4. Muslim

Not bad, especially when you consider how difficult it would be to tick all of them.

This thread misses a very important point by limiting itself to things that are racist. If the looney left thought they'd finally eradicated racism, they wouldn't stop there. They'd only look for a new category of enemy to go after.

Being white seems to be the major glaring omission from that list.

Hiking and skiing are apparently 'white zones' so therefore racist.

Saying that non-whites are over represented in TV advertising.

Not vocalising support for BLM on social media.

Neo-classical economics and its inability to distribute wealth according to need.

Our inland waterway system (built in part for transporting cotton...).

The education system.

The Government.

Uncle Ben's Rice.

Fish and chips (probably)

I think you'll find fish and chips is cultural appropriation rather than racist Wink

Never thought of this before but I'll be doggone you're right.

Polarbear hang your head in shame Sad

Also, on the subject of Americanisms, saying "Why you cotton picking....." must now be blatantly racist.

Oh also, referring to starvation in Africa is racist. You have to be specific with the location (thanks to 'Orange is the new Black for that one).

No I won't. Laughing

The earliest boats were pulled by horses not slaves and for transporting coal, cotton came later. Razz

However that is an excellent idea for when the arseholes in power ban diesel engines, we can revert to immigrant labour. Thumbs Up

I love this.

Given that literally noone I know does this, yet its a massive sign of privilege which somehow I'm automatically born into, on account im white, im meant to somehow apologise for it..

At some point, some tosser will have a penny drop, whereby they realise all white blokes are not necessarily born equal.....

Before 1770 most cotton spinning was carried out using water for energy. The Jenny was patented in 1770, and this lead to large factories, which needed coal to power the engines and a way of transporting the raw cotton and the finished product. Invention of the spinning Jenny lead to increased demand for large-scale transportation, which in turn lead to the main phase of canal building in Britain. It was begun proper by opening of the Bridgewater in 1776, which carried coal to Manchester, which in turn powered the cotton mills.

Chicken and egg... Smile

What an excellent idea to deter the economic migrants and criminal element. Of course thats why it won't happen. (worked in Aussiland).

This is a fucking stupid thread but this is an interesting post. If AI being programed by humans will such AI inherit features of the programmer? Could we unconsciously build into an AI our own prejudices? PHD paper in that question I think.
