Baby wipes tend to be good for pretty much anything but has anyone used them on visor? any reasons not to?

You're supposed to use them on the visor BEFORE you wipe your arse, Skudd...

Hmm it seems clean, I used the wipe then a kitchen towel to dry it but I'll see next time I go for a ride Laughing

I'm guessing using it on the rest of the helmet is a no no?

Why would it be? I can't imagine a baby's arse is more resistant to chemical attack than the laquer on your lid!

Unless you meant your other helmet.

I'd also bet the chemicals that your lid is exposed to every day, in air and road muck, are a truckload harsher than something designed for baby bums. Laughing

Just a heads-up, dunno about yours but near the till our local Lidl has boxes of wipes for glasses/monitors. They come in sealed single packs and although I tend to Rainex my visor before riding I've found that having a couple of these in a pocket is great for removing flies and road debris while out and about and leaves very little smear. They weren't very expensive either, couple of quid for a big box I think........

One of the best accessories for motorcyclists going. Every year I get a new pack for Christmas which sits in my tank bag. Been using them for years, and far better than some so called specialist visor cleaners.

Also good for cleaning leathers.

The clean up wipes you get in KFC also work good and are handy for keeping in your pocket - I try and grab a few good handfuls of them on the odd ocassion I go there.

I use baby wipes to clean my visor, to get rid of the smears or what have you I just use a polishing cloth like this.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/10-MICROFIBRE-LINT-FREE-CLOTHS-VALETING-POLISHING-LARGE-/260802575246?pt=UK_Babay_Baby_Feeding_Cups_Dishes_Cutlery_LE&hash=item3cb90b7b8e
They are amazing for polishing up bikes and everyday things like coffee tables and PC/TV screens. Thumbs Up

+1 to that, they are brilliant and very convenient to carry about and get rid of flies. When I get home I usually use screen wipes.

Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

Babywipes are great for cleaning the helmets. If they are good enough for a babies bum then they are good enough for my lid.

With all the talk of baby's bums above, I'd expect Gary Glitter to enter the thread any moment.

Can anyone recommend some cream to put on the visor after wiping it down? It gets a bit sore sometimes.
