Electronically motorise the motorcycle lock; electronically.

OP I've answered the survey honestly and very carefully to give you the answers you want to justify your own existence. You're welcome Thumbs Up

I get the feeling this is yet another uni student who thinks RFID is the solution. If you do, have a good look at RFID hacking. A secure implementation is possible, but mistakes are easy.

Another way of looking at it - by doing anything clever with electronics to unlock it, you're just introducing cyber security vulnerabilities on top of physical security vulnerabilities. I don't have to download patches for my padlock.

Making it electronic seems like an unnecessary expense and possible security problems for very little benefit. What are you trying to achieve by it anyway? It's not like bike thieves are going around picking locks, they just cut through the chains.

Could be something a bit cynical behind it. Electric motors don't solve as many problems as people seem to think. Why would you want a stairlift, for example, while your legs are still as strong as ever? Perhaps if the stairlift didn't even exist, people would retain their mobility for a few years more. There are even 90 year olds who run and cycle. Not saying everyone could or should be like that, but surely there's a risk in taking on unnecessary "aids" as creature comforts before your time. Youtube is good. Lots of physio and yoga-type exercises demonstrated by qualified professionals are on there. If your back or knees are too wrecked to operate a chain lock on the ground, then how will you manage working on a project bike? That's the danger in motorisation. Got to do those stretches and send these sniggering entrepreneurs packing.

Have you considered the security improvements from putting wipers on visors?

If not then you definitely should.
