Nice Thumbs Up

The 900 was way up on the list of wants in my last bike hunt but sadly they'd not depreciated to quite where I wanted to stretch to. I'll have one in the future though, for sure.

Cracking bike so far.
That one had 100 miles on it so saved a grand and a half Smile

Few wee jobs to do to it though so it's on the bench awaiting spannering.

Funny enough was sharing / watching with a mate MissendonFlyer's ride of it back in 2018 ish. He seems to like it a lot.

Sounds like a decent saving to be had off a near new bike. I bought an R Nine T second hand at less than 2 years old and with 3400 miles on it. After going through the paperwork I realised the first owner paid over £1.60 a mile in depreciation alone Laughing

Love that!

Not seen one in all black before, awesome.

I like the burnt orange colour best but that's stunning too. Would nicely disappear into the background in that Lahnden parking spots..

Thumbs Up

The black is Diablo black and when the sun hits it ,it pair explodes with metalicy stuff.

Looks lovely though, proper deep paint as well.

Cheers all.

Not very tall but the low seat option is popular as well mind.

Still going easy on it till I get a few miles in, but yeh, it goes like fuck.

Very light a flickable annaw, although having been riding mahoosive beemers and vintage Lambrettas, a Transit would feel flickable.

Why did you get rid of the GS Adventure?

I've had 2 and have ran them and other big trailies for 20 yrs.
Been all over Europe on the GS.
Taking it out of the garage to go for a coffee is a pain in the hoop.
It weighs nearly a 1/3 of a tonne lol.
I don't need a bike for extended tours anymore, I need somit I can put on a dolly trailer and haul to Spain with a motorhome.

And also , just fling a jacket on and go for a coffee.

Nice bike, Weisse Schlange. You have a machine that will go forever. A coworker has a ZRX1200R he bought new, it now has over 300,000 miles on it. Nary a problem except for a radiator replacement at around 200k.

Cheers dude.

I had a Zephyr 1100 that I ran for 9 yrs but killed it eventually.

Still not sure what did for it, but had been recommended to use fully synthetic oil just before the big ends went.

It's still kicking about, just with an oil cooled gsxr motor in it. Smile

My coworker friend rides his ZXR 100 miles round trip commute every day-500 miles a week, year round. Around the time he hit 200k on it, I asked him, "what kind of oil do you run in it?", expecting some brand of fully synthetic 10w-40. I was surprised when he replied, "anything that's on sale, I'm not particular. Synthetic is expensive, I run the cheap stuff." The lubricants available these days are very, very good; light years ahead of what was available when that bike was new. (2002, I think.)
