I know football isn't the most popular thing on here.

But hey, it's Scotland. I'm sick of having it all in the news today how pissed they all got last night and this hasn't happened for 22 years (because they're so sh1te) etc. etc.

Sounds like there's an England-Scotland game in June.

No doubt hords of skirt wearing tools will invade our sanctuary, accompanied by a Nicola speech mentioning Bannockburn 1314 etc.

Any similar demonstrations on the part of the English will be deemed 'Far Right' Thumbs Up

That wouldn't be a popular decision at all. I'd say overall that it's been good for Scotland. Bozo is just whining because he isn't a popular lad here and realises that an independence referendum might not go his way.

Still, will of the people and all that. Laughing

I never used to give it a thought until the last couple of years. Constantly witnessing s#te pumped out of Holyrood just drags me down.

On the plus side Scotland qualify for the Euros, suspect parliament or not.

On the bad side Glasgow (and of course England) got very rich from slavery fueled tobacco.

I kinda vaguely think of Scotland as being the 1982 team that nearly beat Russia, where most of the team was the Liverpool squad.

but I stopped really caring about football when I was still at middle school

Scotland reached their peak in 1978 with that Gemmill goal against Holland, as referenced in Trainspotting.

The main reason for this was that Scotland qualified for the World Cup whereas England did not.
