Tell us where the nasty Patel hit you.

Boris has given her his full support. Surely not good news. Recall in previous decades anyone obtaining 'Tony's full support' didn't last very long Confused

Boris should say that if she goes he will appoint Philip Davies or Andrew Rosindell as the replacement.

Andrew Rosindell
Rosindell's political views are firmly Thatcherite: he is a Eurosceptic and supports the re-introduction of the death penalty and the detention of asylum seekers.[8] He is a member of The Freedom Association, and was a member of the Monday Club, until he was compelled to resign in 2001 by the Conservative leader Iain Duncan Smith. Journalist Ann Treneman in The Times described him as a "flag fanatic and super patriot".[29]

Philip Davies
Davies was the parliamentary spokesman for the inactive Campaign Against Political Correctness[50] and was accused of wasting the Equality and Human Rights Commission's time by sending a stream of correspondence to its chair, Trevor Phillips, between 2008 and 2009. In this correspondence, he asked questions relating to race and sex discrimination such as: "Is it offensive to black up or not, particularly if you are impersonating a black person?" and "Why it is so offensive to black up your face, as I have never understood this?"[14][51] Some commentators suggested that he was advocating 'blacking up'.[52][53]

Davies also asked whether it was racist for a policeman to refer to a BMW as "black man's wheels" and whether the Metropolitan Black Police Association breaches discrimination law by restricting its membership to black people.[14] Peter Herbert, the chair of the Society of Black Lawyers, said: "This correspondence seems a complete and utter waste of time... he shouldn't be using the Human Rights Commission as basically a source of legal advice".[14]

A complaint from Davies was sent to the Equality and Human Rights Commission in January 2017 that the Jhalak Prize, a literary prize intended to increase the diversity of published authors, was discriminatory towards white writers. After investigating the issue, the EHRC rejected Davies' complaint the following April. A spokesman for the EHRC said the body had decided the prize did not break the Equality Act 2010.[54] "This award is the type of action which the Commission supports and recommends", he said. Davies rejected "positive discrimination" and said he believed in "true equality".[55]

In May 2018, Davies said that police stop and search numbers had reduced dramatically as a result of "politically correct chatter". He said that black people are "more likely to be murderers". Davies said the evidence showed the community much more likely to be stopped and searched and yet found to have done nothing wrong were white people.[56]

It sounds like a load of Snowflakes don't like to be called incompetent. It's about time someone shook up the over paid under worked establishment. Jobs for life and pensions bigger than some third world incomes.

God help them if Gordon Ramsey ever took over.

Wikipedia on Rosindell sez:

"In January 2019, The Times discovered that Rosindell's Facebook account belonged to a group supporting far-right mouthpiece Tommy Robinson. "

The plot thickens Surprised

Ignoring all the bullying claims, she's still a monumental cunt.

The fact that BoJo doesn't care about the PR fallout shows how it just doesn't matter anymore. They can do what they want.

I find it hard to have sympathy for Sir Philip Rutnam though. He's suing the government, as if he needs the money.

Besides, he's a Sir. He could set the Queen on her or something.

I know quite a.few civil servants from the lowest to the highest.

I've never met one that tried to follow their own agenda. They all just complimented the policies of the government in place at the time.

You're used to dealing with the counter staff.

I mean the well paid ones who actually implement the policy regardless of how deranged it is.

The Civil Service seem to think they run the country, not the government. It's also flooded with Momentum lefty types.

Like the remainer civil servant tw@ who sanctioned putting in a 20 plus mile permanent contraflow on the M20 "in readiness for leaving the EU", then when we didn't leave, left it in place completely unused for 8 months, causing misery and many deaths mainly through foreign HGV's bullying cars by speeding through the 23 mile 50mph average speed section.

They finally took it dow again. Guess when? Yep the day after we left the EU. It was quite clearly a political stunt from someone in the civil service with a chip on their shoulder. Nobody has had to answer for this yet, even though this stunt cost the tax payer over half a million to put up and take down, ignoring the lost revenue and deaths.

Where does 476 work, or is he still a lefty student? I could see him doing very well in the civil service.

Usually they are Common Purpose "graduates" in leading beyond authority.

Oh, I trust what Nobby tells us - he knows best! Laughing
Did you personally oversee everything they did? I presume so.

This bothered me about how senior civil servants can behave these days. You'll need to watch it through to understand what I mean, for which I make no apologies. If you're really interested to know, 15mins won't hurt you:

I see this as the tip of the iceberg in a power struggle between senior civil servants and government ministers as to who defines policy.

Javid leaving was the fat part of the iceberg. Multiple civil servants were shitting their pants about having a chancellor of the exchequer who was more qualified and experienced in successfully running a massive financial institution effectively than they were. Empires were set to fall. Houses of cards would have come tumbling down. They rallied against him and he was smart enough to jump before he was pushed in order to live another day (I'd like to see him as PM).

Patel is the inevitable tip of the same iceberg but an easier/softer target. If they manage to ull her down, that put the brakes on ministers who think they are in charge. Davies is the sacrificial lamb to make this happen.

A knowlegeable and competant minister who is used top being in charge and setting their own agenda must the the ultimate civil service nightmare. The do not want them and want rid of them.

Give Boris his due. He is by and large a blundering lackwit but has the (possibly most important) skill of surrounding himself with people who know how to do their job. He is also smart enogh to see what is happening which is why he's backing her.

So rong Cookie Boy. Wen u reevin'?

🤣

The UK isn't as bad as many paint it to be.

Live abroad in enough Cuntries and you soon realise that life in UK may have it's unique issues but it is relatively safe to live here and stable enough to own property.

The grass et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.

Japan is a country where you must accept and respect the superiority of the Japanese race and especially Japanese culture over your own.

And still, when you are stripped down to your bare essentials, you are just you. Culture is something you put on, like a suit of clothes. It doesn't make you who you are at the fundamental level, inside yourself. It's just that one culture might fit you better than another.

It may be important to you, and that's ok, but it doesn't have to be. It's still only built on something deeper.

Sorry, I'm in a deeply philosophical mood today Smile

Religion is just another thing you adopt, hence there being different ones. If it was fundamental, it'd be in us from birth. Nature and nurture.

And how do you know this? Another personal hunch that you've decided to declare as truth?

Every civil service person I've met has been a perfectly rational human being, without a lick of political bias on display, doing whatever was asked of them on behalf of the government of the day.

Also I have a couple of mates who went for higher level civil service jobs. They said the selection process was designed to pick out people who demonstrated that they could:

a) Do whatever was asked of them

b) Justify why they were doing it

Or in other words, the selection process was looking for pro-British, pro-government yes men. So no, I wouldn't say the civil service is full of lefty momentum people. I think you completely made that up.

The civil service is designed to be impartial and to serve the current incumbent.

They were not even allowed to speak in public in the run up to the G.E incase what they spoke about influenced voters.

- is just voicing another one of his ill informed biggotted opinions

Quote:

Like all servants of the Crown, civil servants are legally barred from standing for election as Members of Parliament. as they must uphold the duty of being politically neutral. [32] Also, under regulations first adopted in 1954 and revised in 1984, members of the Senior Civil Service (the top management grades) are barred from holding office in a political party or publicly expressing controversial political viewpoints, while less senior civil servants at an intermediate (managerial) level must generally seek permission to participate in political activities. The most junior civil servants are permitted to participate in political activities, but must be politically neutral in the exercise of their duties.[32]
