Hi, what is your favourite VR game and why?

For me iRacing in VR has taken things to a new level.

Can't play a game anymore unless it's in VR. I can hardly last 2 rounds at the boxing and suck at golf.

Any recommendations for a ww2 shooter?

Did I mention that I find VR absolutely unbelievable! If someone had said back in Micropose days that this would have become reality then I would laugh so hard as to nearly pay for a round at the bar.

If I was looking for a fantasy world to wonder around where would I look?

Out of 10 how would you rate VR? I use an Oculus Rift 2, best gaming device I've ever had by a long way.

Pavlov VR is my favourite and has custom server for WW1/2, but i've not tried a whole bunch of games. There is a medal of honour game that's in development that looks pretty good too.

I'd give VR a 6/10. I'ts good but I dont find myself wanting to play it all that much, mostly because it's less relaxing and i'd rather sit down. I did buy the second Rift dev kit when that came out and found it much better when games where still being made to be played with mouse and keyboard but it seems like it's all about the controllers now. Multiplayer shooters are also my game of choice lately and there isnt really a whole lot of VR shooters right now and a most of what's coming out is focusing on single player immersion instead of multiplayer.

I'm going to be getting a racing wheel on the black friday sales though so I'm hoping that will make me like it a little more.

I don't have many VR games.... yet (I'm using a Rift S and a friend just bought the Quest 2).

So far the games I've played look amazing, but for now from best to.... less best:

Elite Dangerous
Project Cars 2
Fallout 4
Euro Truck Simulator 2
Dirt Rally
Minecraft

Only problem I have with Fallout is 30 degree turning, (I managed to turn off the teleport moving), so I'd be a bit worried about any kind of FPS games having the same issue.

Ooh. I must try Elite if it's a sitting down game?

I played the very first elite back in 1985 when I was 17 in the Navy. I didn't actually play it but used to watch my colleague play it for ages when we should have been working. It was also awe inspiring for its time.

After doing some vr boxing, where it nearly killed me, I'm looking for sit down games I think.

Racing is really great, from a sitting perspective. I use this. Screens aren't really needed anymore. Very Happy

Epic games is giving ED away free next week.... allegedly.

I played Frontier: Elite II, (on the CD32), for months non stop, even roped a friend in to playing it while I was at work, a friend said I needed to try Cannon Fodder on the same system as it was a great game.... unfortunately, when CF saved it cleared out all the other saves Evil or Very Mad

Old post but...

I expect you to die
The Wizards
A Tech Cybernetic
Beat saber
Blade and sorcery
Arizona sunshine
War dust

All of those are fucking fantastic. Out of the 200+ games, those ares the ones with 40+ hours on each.

Cyberpunk Sextower VR has popped up on my suggested games feed in Steam this evening. I can't begin to imagine how weird this must be when you are old as I am, when Paperboy was the arcade game of choice in my spotty yoof. How times have changed, don't kids look at porno mags to have a wank any more?
