Has anyone else experienced the low end to mid range power reduction after fitting expansion chambers ? I believe I maybe need to increase the primary and main jet size and any pointers would be useful. I've tried lifting the needle a notch and didn't make much difference.

Can't be specific to your bike but in general, performance spannies on a 2t give you more top-end at a cost of midrange. The more top-end, the less midrange and without dynamic exhaust ports, that's what you'll be stuck with.

Needle profile, needle jet and slide cutaway, needle position and the relationship between them will be the main factors determining your low to mid range.

Slow running jet is only really a factor from idle to about 1/4 throttle opening. Main jet will be about 3/4 to wide open.

LOL Higgspeed.

Those are pretend chambers for those that like shiny things and making silly noises rather than those of us looking for big power.

At the moment you are guessing regarding the apparent lack of low and midrange and it being attributable to the AFR being wrong.

You really need to get the bike on a Dyno.

Are you suggesting that fitting these pipes has had a detrimental effect on performance?

Higgspeed (AllSpeed?) are still operating aren't they? Can't you approach them for some guidance.

Failing that ride about a bit, if you hole a piston - too lean.

Higgspeed is a totally different company selling their own pipes. Variations on the old Allspeeds are sold via Gibson.

Common denominator is they are both shite compared to purpose made chambers.
