Started using a TRACKIR head tracking system yesterday for playing DCS and MS Flight Sim. Makes such a difference to the immersion in the game when you can alter the view by moving your head rather than needing to use a POV hat.
If anyone else plays flight sims etc, you really need to pick up a head tracker to go with it ____________________ DILLIGAF |

If you just want to try it, you can use a webcam and software to emulate what the TRACKIR does.
''Back in the day'', like 15 years ago, headtracking was amazing in MS: Flight simulator and other such games, because in order to see all the dials, you had to zoom a lot to acutally see what the instruments said, playing games at much lower screen resolution than today, or having enlarged 2D dials on the screen. Nowadays, with a 4K monitor and a GFX card that can feed the monitor with all the pixels, I can just read anything that's on the screen, no matter how tiny it is, all perfectly legible.
People also used to play GTR 2 with head tracking a lot. ____________________ '87 Honda XBR 500, '96 Kawasaki ZX7R P1, '90 Honda CB-1, '88 Kawasaki GPz550, MZ 150 ETZ

Reminds me of being one of the few to play CounterStrike (back when it was still a mod) with Surround Sound ____________________ Royal Enfield Continental GT 535, Husqvarna Vitpilen 401, Yamaha XSR700, Honda Rebel, Yamaha DT175, Suzuki SV650 (loan) Fazer 600, Keeway Superlight 125, 50cc turd scooter |

I put the gauges on msfsx out to an old tablet using an app called GA Panel and FsRadioPanel on android. It works really well. |
