Given how critical exhaust design is on these types of 2 strokes, I'd be massively in favor of returning to stock, or an established JM or Arrow complete unit.

I'm not an expert in 2 strokes, but I think there is a reason that the later 125 versions, all had silencers well clear of the rear drum/disk etc.

My own 2 strokes (125's and 250's) tend to foul the bottom corner of the license plate, rather than anything else on the bike...

Looking at the video. It smokes because you don't ride it hard enough. My track bike didn't oil up because it was pretty much balls to the wall once warm. My KDX200 would dribble oil everywhere when doing technical off road stuff. make sure you use a good quality oil rather than less of it something like a JASO D or E synthetic as these burn off much better rather than form oil in the pipe. It doesnt need to be expensive oil either but rather the grade needs to be good.

They all do that on start up / tick over and then you give it a good thrash and it clears up or at least you can't see it but presumably it's still there.

The back of the number plate on mine gets covered in oil but then it's a stockish exhaust and well away from the tyre and brakes so not a problem.
