I have unlimited BT broadband which usually comes back at 40 something megadubries when I speed test it.

I have freesat with full catch up and a fire TV stick for streaming and usually I don't have any problems with anything on the firestick EXCEPT things that run through a browser and specifically Discovery+.

Disney+, Netflix, ITV hub, Iplayer, Pluto TV and anything else that runs through an app seems fine on the firestick. Discovery+, which doesn't have an app and I am playing through either the Firefox or Amazon browsers buffers so much it's almost unwatchable. Sometimes(rarely) it works OK but there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason for when it's OK or not.

Is there a reason? Is BT screwing my internet or is it the nature of streaming through a browser via a firestick?

Am seriously considering dumping BT and going with Vodafone cable that's not long been installed in out estate. It's cheaper too.

All this hassle so wifie can watch ghostie hunting programmes Rolling Eyes

Browsers aren't as lightweight as they used to be, and the Firestick is not a heavyweight processing device. I expect the issue is down to the numerous not very optimised software layers that sit in between.

Have you tried viewing Disco+ on a PC or laptop? Does it work OK with that? If so, it's not an internet problem, nor a problem at the Discovery end.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

No, stupidly I didn't think of that. Will try later tonight. Thumbs Up
