No, it's the independent voters that are important. There's always gonna be "always vote red/blue" type people but anyone undecided or unaffiliated with the main parties faces "fortification" Sad

Without an establishment outsider like Trump was, they amount to the same thing. It doesn't have to be Trump himself, just someone with a similar message and policies, and charismatic enough to capture voter attention. However now, after Trump, the messages will be misrepresented as the rise of fascism by the establishment. Well of course; it's a direct threat to them, their wealth and power. I mean, you can't let the greater part of a country's population decide how they want their country to be, silly!

Anti-Trumpers need to picture a set of scales: on one side, we have Trump's mean tweets Shocked On the other we have ever-increasing governmental control of people's lives, a trashed economy, and enemies laughing at you for your incompetence and stupidity. Mean tweets? No, I can't take that! Laughing

It might be that the authoritarian streak the current administration displays is a reaction to their Commander-In-Chief literally being asleep at the wheel. If you push back the big decisions to the hobgoblins bureaucrats in the backrooms they'll inevitably define things in terms of unimaginative rules - in this case Executive Orders - with no consideration to the reaction of the electorate (that's the press secretary's problem.)

Apparently Joe's on course to rubber stamp twice as many of such orders as Trump. That being said he'd have to go some to beat the Great Depression and WW2 years records.

Or he was manoeuvred into position for that purpose...
It's not like he was sharp back when he was inaugurated.

Edit to add: I just don't believe that the Office of President is anything more than a figurehead position with this administration. The question is then, obviously, who IS running the show? Harris? I'm not sure about that one either. I'm not sure we'll ever know. You could be right about it being some kind of general committee of bureaucrats in various back offices - but I don't think there's much coordination there, just reaction to events and a general push ever further left authoritarian.

Harris isn't pulling the strings she all but publicly said "I don't want to be anywhere near this shit" when the Afghan debacle erupted. No it'll be a shadow team put together by the Obamas and Clintons. All the key people are doing well out of this: your Amazons & Googles, China China China. It's only the ordinary people of the USA that are being sacrificed so no biggie.

But she should be near the shit, helping sort it out. Doing the job she is being paid to do. She should be up there, showing her face, telling people what she has done to sort things out.

Not sure about that, besides she is not much better at speaking without gaffs despite autocue than Biden.

If you haven't already, check out Dozy Diane Abbott's 'women and girls' Afghanistan speech from a couple of days ago. It's both chilling and hilarious all at the same time.

Bidens precipitous decline in faculties is even more obvious if you compare him here in 2016
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWyBeVFPqHI

It's just sad really that this has been allowed to happen, he must be aware he can't cope too but has to play along in what for anyone is a demanding job.
Mind it looks like he's drugged up and hardly know where he is most of the time.
We can all have off days and make mistakes but he's been out of it since becoming democrat leader

The cruel and unusual punishment is being inflicted by him and the Dems on the rest of the world. Fuck Biden, he didn't have to accept the nomination.

Maybe people are starting to see that Biden is not some lefty snowflake type and just as much of a "`Murica first, `Murica second and whats left over `Murica will have that as well" as any other president. The US is a cult, always has been since the days of the founding fathers and Biden knows this. `Murica only cares about an idea of an "American" not real flesh and blodd human beings, just look at the people who lose everything in some natural disaster like forest fires or hurricanes or floods and find themselves destitute, does `Murica do anything for them? not blooody likely, suddenly `Murica comes out all over with a case of "land of the self reliant individialist", IE "piss off and live out your life in your burnt out car, yer on yer own buddy". So why would the US give a damn about people living in some dusthole on the other side of the planet. I think this is what is behind Bidens doctrine of pulling out of not just Afghanistan but the whole nation building malarky, which is an open secret is a lot of bolloks really and only ever meant anything when it was Germany after WW2. Of course Biden will say his doctrine is all about bringing resources back into America so it can be put to work on all the goody goody social issue stuff which the democrat faithfull want to see done. Well, maybe that is the plan but only time will tell. personally i suspect he`s just another politico-psycho there as a front for the cult.

Depends on what you mean by "America". What I see is a country currently undergoing a battle for its soul, and it isn't clear to me yet who will win out of several factions. The Establishment that Trump tried to change is currently in the most powerful position, but the mistakes they're making could lose them control in the long run.

Trump wasn't trying to change anything he was just getting his school bully s#1t stirrer in chief kicks. The big mistake his followers make is thinking his disdain for politics, politicians and the political process is founded on the same basis as theirs.

Is the oligarchy making mistakes? Or is everything going to plan? Its possibly not feasable to tell.

In the end, it doesn't matter what Trump was about in his own mind. What matters is how the majority of American voters perceive the job he was doing, and how it compares to what Biden and the Dems are doing now. And I think you have to remember that this doesn't just apply with the man in the top job, it also depends on what happens at state level. In fact, that may be more important. We here in the UK didn't kick Trump out, and we can't kick Biden out. Only the American voters can do that. Well, if there is ever another proper election in the US, which there may be reason to doubt.

Before the mid-terms the next big one (14th September) is the Gavin Newsom recall vote. It's a simple majority: >50% "yes" and he's out and most likely "the black face of white supremacy" Larry Elder gets in. Certainly a "Brexit Moment" if it happens...

Judging from the MSM and Social Media this one will be heavily fortified. For example, the following video doesn't even endorse a candidate:

https://youtu.be/Yos11OT3mp4

But this is California - the most corrupt State in the US - so Gavin "Smiling Psychopath" Newsom will keep his job Sad
