Hi all.
So I'm looking for (and would appreciate any suggestions) for some taller and possibly wider mirrors than the ones that come standard on my 125cc Honda.

I'm not awfully tall, around 177cm/5'10" or so, but I find that I have to actively dip my head to see traffic behind me.

I assume that most handlebars are relatively standard (7/8"?) and so they should all fit.

Suggestions for good taller and possibly wider mirrors would be most welcome.

Thanks in advance
Vlad

Get a pair of extenders, plenty on ebay -

Thank you very much for that!

These seems to bring the mirrors away from me. This might help quite a bit. I'm wondering if there are some extenders that bring the mirrors up as well?
Thanks
Vlad

The market is awash with mirrors from tat sellers on eBay, Aliexpress, etc.

You just need to know the thread diameter (usually 8 or 10mm) and whether the left one of is reverse threaded.

Thanks, that's useful.
I would gladly pay for some new mirrors if I knew the arms were longer. I'd have no issue spending £30-£50 on a set of mirrors I knew were an actual upgrade to the ones I have.

Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places - but almost every single listing for mirrors online doesn't list any actual dimensions.

Anyway, in this austere time, I'll go down to the bike with some vernier calipers/a ruler, figure out if it's 8 or 10 mm, and I'm pretty sure that the left one on my Honda isn't reverse threaded, but if it is, that will be obvious.

Cheers for your help
Vlad

So loosen the grips on the bars and twist away a bit. You will then have more angle of adjustment so you can see in them without ducking you head....

Never fails to amaze how people miss the free and simple tricks.

I love free solutions. Thank you for your post.

My bike has wind shield/hand guards fitted, which seem to be attached with the mirrors. I'm wondering if this means that in order to twist away I'd have to twist the hand guards, as well?

It'll probably be better/easier if I take some photos and post them up on here? To be honest taking the photos is no problem, figuring out how to attach photos to this forum is another story!

Quite often one or both of the mirror mounts is integrated with something else (clutch/brake/throttle) so YMMV.
