Yikes... There's at least two areas of this forum where this would be appropriate... This is not one of them.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

As Jeremy Clarkson once said, It's made of the same plastic they use to make American Newsreaders. Also, leaf springs. Nuff said.

One might venture the question why you feel the need to show off? Are you compensating for something? Also with regard to your original post, Dost thou protest too much?

It doesn't impress me. It's weird that you think it would. You claim to be a Brit, if so you'll know that Corvettes just aren't a thing here.

TBF, as a Brit that still lives in Britain and has owned several 'iconic' Yanks (and other so called 'supercars') my 'vette has garnered more positive reaction than any other car I've owned.

They don't do it for me, and I don't know anyone who likes them here. They are cheap enough and fairly easy to import, and some were even sold officially. But you rarely see them, so it's the rarity that attracts people, rather than their technology or driving experience. There are countless cars I'd rather have and I could choose something RHD into the bargain.

I could have a TVR Chimaera for probably similar money, and it would be a better car - and it's a bum basic TVR with a Rover V8.

Having owned a Chimaera, a Griffith, a 400i and a Cerbera, I can assure you it wouldn't.

Over here it's old, rare, unusual and therefore cool.

Someone in America having a fairly modern American sports car is about as interesting as someone here having a Focus ST. Watching someone feel the need to boast about it every other post is a bit like when that bloke with no teeth kept boasting about his focus.

All this really shows is that when Brits move across the pond they can also turn into obnoxious, brash Americans.

Tip for OP - people may be interested in pictures of something unique, or a puppy. People are not going to be interested in a car that, while it would be fun to take for a spin, not many of us would be seriously interested in owning in the UK.

Also, I don't think the late 90s were red letter years for the venerable Vette. 60s? Yeah. 70s? Sure. 80s? Well, they *were* in the A team...

'90s? Oh dear.

2000s? People like the C6 onwards, but as Jeremy Clarkson once said, having one in the UK is like wearing chrome cowboy boots to the Queen's garden party.
