Just heard today that Buell Motorcycles (note: not EBR Racing) is going to start selling motorcycles again soon, including the 1190RX and 1190SX. Apparently Erik Buell is no longer associated with the company that bears his name. Personally, I never considered a modern Buell because 1) these bikes are capable of performance way beyond my riding skills, 2) I don't want to kill myself in a failed attempt to test my limits, 3) my current ride cost me 3 grand, which is about one-sixth the price of a new Buell.
I always admired Erik Buell for his tenacity and perseverence, and I always wished him success. Shame that he is not part of the company moving forward.

Very much a niche market of course.
I do like exotica but I prefer the familiar feel of a big name for my own bike.
Go look at the black and white picture of the engine on the https://www.buellmotorcycle.com/ site. Scroll down to the picture and wonder at the three year olds attempt at taping up the loom.
Things like that just lets everything good down. ____________________ Triumph Trophy Launch Edition |
