CB125F speedometer

hi, so something hit the casing/cover on the speedometer causing a crack. I didnt get a new one straight away and now because of the cold and the wet getting into it. The speedometer is stuck at 0 but the rev counter and gears are working perfectly. i have already checked and the issue is not with the pipe that everyone told me it could be. Is it best to get a new speedometer or is there anyway to fix it?
