Road racer Scott Wilson

I was just passing some time reading and watching vids about the TT and I came across this chap called Scott Wilson.

Fourth and fifth placed finishes in the Manx Grand Prix, eight top 30 finishes in the IOMTT, but then each of his last five races at the TT have been DNF. That seems to me like it would be an unusually bad record to have five DNFs in a row, and he then seems to have retired from racing.

I don't know the guy, just wondered if anyone knows whether the DNFs were crashes, mechanical etc. Basically, what's the story? Anyone know?

Or maybe that is in fact a pretty normal record, in which case ignore me.

The TT is hard, the lap is long and it's hard on bikes. DNF's are usually mechanical. It doesn't seem like a weird record, especially if you've you get a new mechanic or team who aren't as good at the preparation.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.
