Would something like a Husqvarna TE125 be legal to ride on my CBT licence?

not a chance, if it's making in the region of 38bhp - looks far more like a competition machine, even though it's apparently available in road legal trim
also, that type of narrow seat will be a torture rack after 15 minutes unless you're in a standing position for the majority of the time, which of course you won't be when riding on road
one possibility is the honda varadearo 125 - it's not particularly tall, but is probably taller than most, but it will feel bigger than almost all of the more conventional roadster styled 125 bikes, and obviously roomier than 125s that are sport-styled
they are no longer manufactured, and those that can be found on ebay etc. are expensive (there are a few on there at the moment, which look well-cared for from a cursory glance)
if you're a proper unit, you might be better off just doing a direct access course and getting a full license, then chucking 15 large at a 1200GS or something leggy and adventure focused - they'd probably be the least crampy
otoh you might want to pay your dues on a 125 so you can grasp the basics and edge up the ladder more incrementally - but as you're finding already, the ergonomics can be a bit limited on the entry level bikes ____________________ "Life is a sexually transmitted disease and the mortality rate is one hundred percent."

I wouldn’t exclude any bike on the basis of this on-line tool alone but it can be interesting to compare.

Thanks for all the replies, much appreciated,
Ordered a KTM 125 Duke yesterday along with an 890 Superduke R, as I'd sat on one mid-lockdown and it seemed the best of the bunch, seemed wider than most 125's, possibly with it being in the same chassis as the 390,
Did consider the Varadero but was nervous of buying something then it need fixing and tinkering with,
Figured the KTM was from a KTM dealer and they could handle servicing and any problems,
Plan is to ride the 125 over the summer and get my test passed, then probably trade it in as the deposit for the Panigale I've set my heart on,
Thanks again for all the help and advice.
