Speeding motorway driver 'went to Wales for haircut'

Quote:
A motorist who was stopped by police for driving at 122mph, told officers that he was travelling back from Wales after getting a haircut...

The 29-year-old was arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drugs after a roadside test.

Well, you'd have to start by pushing the seats as far back as they'll go and see how it goes from there.

This is why they won't let us out of lockdown, people have a lot of pent up anger to unleash on the deserving government and officialdom.

The stupid in this story is how the authorities are caught napping.

I can assure anyone that the next reaction may not be so cordial.

Kettle-ing and spraying with indelible dye.

How about a police superintendent whinging about protestor kicking off but plainly already having enough power to arrest them so proving that a demonstration against the governments plans to increase police powers was a legitimate protest.

How better to convince us that Ms Patel's new legislation is necessary, than by having a protest that turns into a riot. One could even suspect that stooges were paid to make sure it kicked off... Either that or Tarquin and Peaches-Trixibell are genuinely so thick that they don't see the consequences of their actions. All that private school education wasted!

Looking at the footage of Bristol riots, I doubt if many know what a school is.

More of an advert for social sterilisation. Thumbs Up

As I pointed out, the fact the police using powers they already have managed to control the situation and arrest the riotous faction proved that Henrich Patels legislation is completely unnecessary.

The state is effectively doing that through legislation.

I have no doubt it will come. So will owning private transport as well as many other freedoms or choices we take for granted now. It's how things work.

Look at different countries. Many Asian countries are much more rigidly controlled yet we hold them up as beacons until we are expected to behave and put up with the same.

Singapore - instant fines for littering, dropping gum. Birchings for many offences. Hanging for drugs yet a place many people love (including me). Same with South Korea including acceptance of tracking their citizens via their phone.

As I said (probably) somewhere else, I'm quite happy to have lived my life when I did. I would not look forward the the next few generations as a pleb.

I'm with you on this one!

My kids are amazed when us old boys talk about the daft stuff we got up to over a beer. If they tried a lot of it today, there'd be police helicopters, armed response units and (gawd forbid) social media 'cancelling'...

A generation ago lived with ration books, threat of an invasion by fascists and No NHS.

Meh....
