Nah, I don't buy it. You only have to say "bacon" to one and they wither and die. They're definitely not the cockroaches of the human race. Not as far as survivability is concerned anyway.

Selective (not medical) diets are a luxury afforded by an affluent and well fed society.

Post apocalypse, your average vegan will be eating anything that's available - starvation is a bit of a leveller that way. Laughing
