Interesting but back tyre's too wimpy.

I was in (some bike shop) in Swindon yesterday, and we spotted a cruiser with a surprisingly narrow profile/rear end. It looked kind of weird for a cruiser, being so narrow, but I kind of liked it (as much as I ever like things with forward controls, which is almost never).

Can't remember if it was a Moto Guzzi or an Indian Thinking

Aprilia Falco.

Nicely proportioned seat hump, twin-can symmetry at the right height, and twin tail lights which are faired-in but appear to protrude from side-on.

Probably Blade (huge with all the marques). Mega motorcycle store is round the corner for hoovering up cheap kit.

If you rode from Amesbury you probably came through Tidworth and past my house.

Ah, yes we went to both places Laughing
We went in the car, but we came through Bulford and then ... [was not paying attention, looking at pretty scenery etc]

You came through Tidworth, the garrison town you enter after passing the rifle ranges outside Bulford. On bikes the ride that way to Swindon can be pretty good, if you pick a time when the roads aren't riddled with Jazz's and HGV's there's some nice twisty bits near Choppers cafe and the Savernake is basically a top speed run from the bridge right up to Marlborough (while praying for no Deer).

I remember that bit, the forest with the big old trees Wub
Choppers cafe was a bit empty, although its a regular stopping-place for this lot Laughing but we were on a Mission, so we didn't stop.
Very nice down that way Whistle

It should have had a 5 x 7" silver and black pressed aluminium one, which I don't think would detract from the look unduly.

Droog's KTM RC8 doesn't appear to even have a mount for one

Yeah I agree, but we are getting to see the bikes (more or less) as the designers intended them to be, before the cold and heartless bureaucrats at the DOT get the opportunity to bolt their ugly, dayglo rectangles onto them Smile

How about the ugliest ones?

Suzuki have made some howlers. 'busa and B-king being two of the worst offenders in my book.

Wash your mouth out with soap Sir. Laughing

I don't find the back end of a busa ugly. In fact I dont find the busa ugly at all.

It's a beautiful bike. Wub

I know not many will agree but I find the Pinigale back end horrendous. The rear wheel looks like an after thought and there is enough space between the seat and the tyre to fly a jumbo jet through.

I think you're right but the tank shape and fairings gives me a chubby though. Embarassed

Looks like it needs the exhaust to come up under the seat to fill the space instead of that horrible monstrosity that's trying to blend into the fairing.

Yeah, but I bet it weighs a ton if it's a cat system. Mass centralisation and all that.

I agree. Looks like they designed as far as the seat in the morning, had a load of Grappa's with Lunch and then designed the back end in a rush before the stripper arrived.

Turbine exhaust ain't gonna fit through a standard Yoshi slip-on.
