Was perusing some YBR videos, and ran across this one documenting a high speed test run: CB125 vs YBR125. Notice the odometer readings on both bikes. Shocked https://youtu.be/yrOfrik6k10

I've never subscribed to the practice of babying a new engine on break in; back in the day we used to break-in freshly overhauled diesel engines on a dynamometer in stages - 50% - 75% - 100% over a 2 hour run. But these guys take this practice to a whole new level. Cool

They do things differently in Pakistan.. 65 mph though is a bit measly either way.
you'd get that out of Honda 125 single forty years ago. Built for longevity I guess,

Guess that shows that not much has changed in forty years. Break-in practice notwithstanding, that's pretty much in line with what I can squeeze out of my YBR. Unless I'm tucked in behind a faster moving vehicle...that's good for another 10 mph. Wink

Are thier engines the same specifications as European engines?

Allegedly thier fuel is lower octane/cow piss, does that have any influence on results?

Just thinking???

110+ Kms/h isn`t too bad to be fair from a 125 I think.

Its appalling compared to a late 80s 2t. My rg125 used to do 90 mph and it wasn't even a full power one. At best it was mildly derestricted.

Maybe the 125s i have piloted have fell short of the mark. The last one was a Derbi Senda

probably geared for off road.

Thats about 65 mph. Standard for a 4T 125. CG125s back in the 90s did that and they have valves the same diameter as rebels cock.

One of my work colleagues had a Yamaha ?z125?/r125?, the new road going 125.
I’ve followed them down the road a few times and it was good for 70mph any day.
They could have probably bought two second hand YBR’s for the price he paid for it, approximately £4000 new Shocked .
