Hi
Got a quick question
My left indicators are flashing fast but right ones are ok.
There are no blown bulbs and i even switched the left and right indicators round and the problem is still there on the left.
My question is, is it possible for a relay to only affect one side?
Any help is much appreciated

The relay serves both sides in the bar switch so i would have checked or swopped the bulbs over, if the same problem i would check the bulb holders for good connections which act as negative / earths. If the same problem then check the earths to the frame. It could be the bar left switch poor connection.

Thanks for the reply.
I have done all of this and more except checking the earth to the frame, it never even crossed my mind.
Been at this problem nearly 12 hours now, i hope it is the earth as the only other thing i can think of is a partially broken wire somewhere and I definitely cant be chewed with that.
Cheers

Fast flashing one side means the load that side is less. Since you've swapped the indicators side for side that rules out a mis-matched bulb.

Do you have LED indicator bulbs fitted? If so they sometimes have a large resistor in parallel. Could be that the resistor one side has become disconnected

Checked earth and it seems to have a good connection (cleaned just to be sure).
I have ordered a new flasher relay to come today just to be absolutely certain its not that. I have also ordered new led indicators and relay so i am ready for any outcome as i need the bile back on the road.

Also these are the type of bulb i have in.

IF the new relay is solid state it would have cured your problem. They aren't affected by the drawn current the same way that the old mechanical relays are.

I wasnt aware of solid state relays. Just had a look into them and will be my next go-to if all else fails.

New relay didnt work at all. Fitted led indicators and led ralay and they work. Only thing is the led relay is only 2 prong so i no longer have a clicker.

It sounds like an expensive repair. Shocked
