Purely for the modular open face aspect if required, and the countless reviews I’ve read and watched tbh.

It's not the quietest or lightest flip helmet out there, riding with it open is like having a sail on your head too. I've got a Simpson carbon instead of mine and I'd look at a shark evo or roof boxxxer if I wanted a real modular helmet next.

I’ve seen it’s not the lightest, never really bothered me tbh but….

Now I’m thinking will this be a good helmet for going out for long runs and maybe even touring down the line???

Wearing it all day soon made me realise how little I flipped it up and how an nxr or similar would be lighter. Ended up with Simpson flip and an hjc rpha 11 for cost of new neotec 2.

How do you find those helmets you have mentioned?

The Simpson darksome carbon is a great fit, similar to shoei. I tried their bandit model a couple of years ago but it was uncomfortable. The rpha is snugger, but as a race style i expected that. Neither are overly noisy, the simpson really impressed me and I love it's lightness, can wear it all day every day without a problem.
