Motorcycle Covers & windy days

Getting it in the neck from the wife about the motorcycle cover. We get high winds (>20mph) only a few times a year but that's enough for her to have a pop about it rustling too much

Anyhoo, type in "heavy duty cover" into your Google/Amazon/eBay and you get typical tissue paper rubbish that is clearly not as advertised. Is there a particular buzzword I should be looking for? I'm thinking either a canvas-like material or maybe stretch fit like a motorbike sock

Before you ask: most of the covers look to be cheaper than a divorce

Couple of elastic bungees over the top help keep it in place. One around the mirrors up front, and one around the seat at the back.

There's a Boche company goes by the name of Wunderlich.
They make/market s4it 4 The BMW aficionado.

A lot of their stuff is Cafe-Off-Roader shite.

But their bike covers are good. Maybe more expensive than a divorce solicitor though.

UK supplier for their shite is Nippy Normans. They are OK to deal with too. Fairly decent service.

A bike can be blowed over if a cover is fitted. So that needs to be considered too. I think tying the beast down onto a couple of 5kg weights before the cover is fitted would help maintain a degree of equilibrium.
But a phaph if on a busy street.

So, anyway ... *serious, straight face* ...

My windcover's a bit annoying too. In windy conditions it flaps (silently ) but it sets off the noisy disk lock I have on the bike, kind of annoying the neighbours somewhat.

Ooo, that reminds me, haven't finished locking/covered it over tonight yet.

I use a tie-down strap around the middle of my cover, helps massively with the flapping.

As for the wife's flapping, I dunno, a gag maybe?

I had this amazing cover called a Gauntlet by a company called IMCA. I dont think exist anymore which is a shame because i had that cover for 15 years before it went hard and split. Now i am using a JMP cover which has a heat proof soft lining, elastic ends and a buckle strap underneath. Its a nice cover. It never comes off in the wind.
