It's equilibrium. We naturally thin out our own numbers. We're more of a menace to ourselves than anyone else Shocked

Welcome to MT10 ownership Laughing

Luckily when I ran out of fuel (first time testing luck on the fuel light) it was opposite the petrol station I needed so just pushed it in. After 20 years on bikes I'd assumed 23 miles would be doable, taking it easy.

Oh how I laughed Razz

Use your trip and fill up every 100 miles. Saves the hassle of worrying about the fuel light at all. It's a crap fuel gauge anyway IMO.

For what it's worth, I use brembo SA brake pads. One of those you get what you pay for things. Other brake pads are prefectly good, these are outstanding.

I've ordered Brembo SR.

Your thoughts please? I'd value your opinion.

Resetting the trip seems very fiddly. It IS done, as I suspected, by pressing the wheel in, but sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Odd. Maybe there's a knack or im doing something daft. Reset it earlier after brimming the tank and the light has just come on again after 91 spirited miles. So I'm going with 110 spirited miles. Maybe 130 motorway miles. Spec sheet says it's 17 litres, I can only get 14 in when the light comes on so yeah the remaining 3 litres doing approx 25 miles sounds about right...

I've never used them. If they are designed for track use, you may find they aren't particularly good until they have some heat in them. Then they'll be like hitting an unlit skip.

According to the Brembo bumph these are the ones with the best cold friction. From what I understand they're the second raciest ones they do. The next ones up (the RCs) start off less effective and get gripper the hotter they get.

Before you go about buying new discs have a look at taking them along to an engineers and see if they can be straightened/skimmed.
