Multi Bike insurance bollox and recommendations

My renewal with Carole Nash is up and I called up to add the zx9r...except....it goes over £3k.... If I remove the 400 which I intend to sell, also £3k.

Now, my renewal with 2 bikes is £300, including some extra covers I should probably look for elsewhere yada yada. Just the CB750, £180.
Running an online quote on the zx9r gives me £400 (also with them).

180+400=580.
580<3000

What kind of bollox is this? And does anyone recommend any other multi bike insurer?

I use RH specialist insurance. Base fee for one bike then 1 pound each for any extras.

I too just had a nasty experience with CN. I won't bore you with the details I've already mention it on the forums somewhere.

Went back to gocompare type websites and then searched for reviews on their recommendations. Getting a review is definitely needed, as the one I was going to go for, had lots (and I mean lots) of bad posts about how crap their service was.

Ended up with BeMoto (tenfold better experience), don't know it it'll do what you want....

Just had similar pains
Hastings declined to quote for multi, but happy to quote me separately for either bike, one without the ncb as well.
After a lot of time wasted like the old days ringing around, it was cheaper to start a new policy with bennetts on one bike, end the current policy with bennets on the other and then take out new business with them for the same bike.

Although i found out on the way CN increased my premium from 100 to 500 for fitting a replacement exhaust, but bennets dont consider it a declarable mod....

Does one of those prices include 0 years NCB or will the companies mirror them?

Unless having a multi-bike policy means you get NCB on each vehicle? never had a need for a multi-bike policy.
