Hi all.
I am looking for some help understanding what process I need to go through to take my motorcycle test.
I had a 125 waaaay back in the early 90’s. I completed a CBT but never progressed any further.
So I am now desperate to get back on 2 wheels. My driver’s license (passed car driving test in 1992) says Category A with code 79(3) next to it. I have heard that having this category with that code is restrictive to trikes only, but also that having had my licence this long that I don’t need a new CBT certificate? So basically I’m looking for clarification as to whether I need to do a CBT before applying for my test?
Thanks in advance Smile

The categories listed on my licence, that are relevant to a bike are AM and A-79(3)

Yes, you need to redo the CBT.

The only advantage to having had your car licence since before 2001 is that you don't need a CBT for a moped.

The CBT should be easy for you. Good luck
