I wonder if anyone can advise me please.

My mobile number seems to be on a scammer’s list??
Every now and then I get a call from a number I don’t recognise and if I need to, those numbers are easy to block, even I can do that with my current mobile phone.
However I now seem to be receiving more and more emails that are clearly suspicious.

So can I block them , and how do I go about doing that?

Thank you for any advice given Thumbs Up

Most email providers allow you to flag emails as SPAM, and if flagged should go stright to the SPAM folder if they continue to send them

However, very few SPAM emails come from the same address, so you will probably find yourself having to flag each and every one

But, your email provider should have some sort of SPAM filter you can turn on, and if it's half decent should start recognising all these emails as SPAM the more you flag them

Totally agree: Gmail has one of the best spam filters there is. I migrated to Outlook a while ago, and ended up moving back to Gmail. Outlook would continually block email from my contacts on a random basis, yet always let through the VERY obvious phishing emails from "paypal" and others several times a day. Microsoft had no interest in it (even with a 365 subscription and all the "benefits" that provides), so I left em.

I find using your own domain name effective at avoiding spam, it feels like spam just string characters together and stick @gmail.com or whatever on the end.

if you have xxxxxx@pepperami.co.uk you may go under the radar a little more.

How accurate this is, I don't know, but I use my own domain, powered by Google Workspace, and I rarely ever get spam.

Also, don't give out your real email, unless you really want to, and tick those boxes that prevent sharing of details, big companies now appear to listen to that following GDPR.

Research your email providers spam filter. If it's a shit provider like yahoo, then time to change that and move to Google.
