Either of those bikes would be better handling than an africa twin, certainly.

There is nothing wrong with SV's, they're decent bikes, but they're certainly not "one of the best bikes out there". Personally, if I wanted to do track days on it, I wouldn't buy either of your options, I'd just wait the 18 months and get the R6. ____________________ Current - '94 VFR750FR (Dead), '00 VFR800FI, 2011 CBF125 Previous - '10 Street Triple R, '92 MZ ETZ301, '05 TTR250, NSR125R, KMX125, "Honda" Win (chinese copy of an old Honda design with a C90 engine)

I have a sv650s and it's a good bike, but I think all the praise comes from how customisable they are and because a lot of people race them there's a lot of information out there on how to improve them. I've just bought a gsxr shock to swap into mine and new fork springs to suit my weight and there's plenty of other temping mods like cbr brake calipers and front end swaps
I don't know enough about the R3 to say which is better though. |
