Hi there guys`n`gals Smile

Soon time to put a new set of tyres on my Honda -04.
My previous bikes have all been "veterans" with much different "shape" to what`s on this one so here I have no experience!
What brand to go for? Touring!
I`d appreciate your findings.
Thanks!

What sizes does it have?

I've always run Pilot Powers where possible. A bit overkill for normal road use but they've never let me down.

Pilot roads (4 or 5) should be more hardwearing than the sports if you're touring or doing a lot of commuting/motorway work. I doubt grip is the limiting factor on a CBF500.

Best tyres I've ever had for wet grip that weren't out of the stupidly sticky and shortlived box.

Also looking for tires for my CB750, everyone I asked recommended the pilot roads.

The only downside I can see with them is they seem to have a fairly soft carcasse which punctures easily. That's purely anecdotal.

Oh, and my rear one is now 50p-shaped because I do 2 hours of motorway, blast round twisties for 2 days then do another 2 hours of motorway. No middle ground so the centre and edges of my tyre are nearly worn out and there's a good 3mm in the in-between bit.

Road 5 was ordered today after some research.
Will be fun to feel the difference from the Pilot Power Smile
Though grip is for sure a factor with my CBF 500.
My old ones was worn out on the edges.
Depends how and where you ride.
I don`t need or want 140 hp to have fun! Very Happy
Anyway, thank you much for nice and helpful inputs.
Enjoy summer ! Cool

If you are going to the edges of a road 5, you are a goddamned hero.

How much did you pay for the set?

I'm considering some alternatives.
