The question I'd ask is how do the effective ranges of an air rifle and a garden hose with one finger over the end compare? And which is more likely to take a drone down...
You could get some helium balloons and put up blimps over your garden. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”

It is illegal to damage other peoples property, drones included.
They may be flying over their garden to practice and perfect their skills, I do this quite a lot with my drone.
So long as they are not flying dangerously there isn't a lot that can be done about it, although they should be registered with a flyer id and operator id with the CAA if they wish to remain on the right side of the law.
It's highly unlikely that they are interested in anything going on in your garden or that of your neighbours, if they are a hobbyist or even professional pilot they should abide by the drone code, if your interested check out https://register-drones.caa.co.uk/drone-code
I know everyone is getting all angsty about these but its usually for no reason as someone could just as easily pop a camera over the fence to carry out surveillance on yours or anyone property for nefarious reasons. ____________________ Current Bikes: VFR 800Fi 1998 & CB250N Superdream 1981 |

Which asks an interesting question, if you own the land and house you live in - do you also own the space above the house? Is it yours to do what you want and defend as such?
If not, where does it begin/end? If a drone can be 50 metres above my house - does that mean below 50m is mine and I can fly a fire-fighting drone just below and hose it down? ____________________ Previous: Aprilia Habana Retro 50cc (beauty), Yamaha SR125 (fell apart), Honda XR125 (nippy little commuter), Honda SLR650 (Geewhizz), Yamaha Diversion 900S (Smoooooth) written off courtesy of a stupid escaped horse.

The air space above us all is regulated by the CAA and all rules and action pertaining to it are governed by them also.
The police have recently been given powers to take action against dangerous or antisocial flying with drones, but as we all know that lot are only just smarter than a brick so will make a complete cock up of every situation and resort to their usual bullying tactics and confiscate everything whilst they go back to the station for donuts and an adult to explain the rules to them and point out that they f'd up again.
You could ask politely to see any footage that you suspect may have been taken of you and yours, however without a court order there is no legal reason for the pilot to show you anything.
Also be aware that the drone carries the SD card with the footage on it and if there isn't anything to read the card with handy then it can't be read!
You can fly closer than 50m to people and housing, it depends on your level of training and qualifications gained.
Like everything else there will be an element of people flying drones with no regard to the rules and regulations, just like people ride and drive without licenses, who will give the hobbyist and professional drone pilots a bad reputation. ____________________ Current Bikes: VFR 800Fi 1998 & CB250N Superdream 1981 |

The thing about drones is that they go on, and on... ____________________ Now - Speed Triple, old ratty GS550, GSXR750M

Find the operator.
Attack them and administer prolonged terrible life changing violence! Allegedly .
This is to include making them eat the drone !
Just before they become unconscious, whisper to them that if they ever do it again, next time will be worse! allegedly
Once again the sage that is Pepperami solves the problem with his profound advice
You’re all welcome

The answer to this is 'yes', however just like with land you own, other legislation governs what can be done on/in/under/above it.... ____________________ Now - Speed Triple, old ratty GS550, GSXR750M
