I suspect that's why the only external lamps in my 2018 car that are non LED are the indicator flashers.

On my cycle to/from work I have to cross a slip stream that feeds a dual carriageway from a roundabout. It is plagued with motorists who either do not indicate at all (their intention to take the slip road) or have shite indicators - they all get a merry 'fuck you' as they pass.

Orange bulbs in clear lenses are a pain and have been since orange bulbs started being 'environmentally friendly' in the coating years ago. Therefore lots of cars going around with white or barely yellow indicators that seem to pass the MOTs.

Therefore I bloody hate clear lens indicators. Most of the time it looks freaking stupid anyway. Cool

Going for the final time to Ray's cake shop that is closing after being open for over 100 years and had a Royal patronage. I've been going there for over 50 years. So sad.

Might be this place as they're closing but they've not quite been open for 100 years.

If it is the place then they're closing cos the guy's retiring.

Two teenage knobs on knackered two stroke off road bikes, riding down the middle of the road or on the wrong side of a dark twisty country lane, no lights, not a clue which side of the road to ride on. They weren't even doing 30mph, I came up behind them on the GS at speed. Only saw them at the last moment when they flashed in my headlights. Followed them for a mile or so as any other vehicle would have wiped them out. One car coming the other way nearly did the world a favour. They just didn't have a clue swerving all over the road. I just wish I had my camera running and I had more time to follow them and do a YouTube shaming.

One of the stupidest, most dangerous traffic measures I've seen...

I'm just back from a 3,500-mile tour of the South of France and Corsica. Epic trip, gears truly ground. But this: we were catching the ferry to Corsica in Toulon, and chasing around the city in rush hour traffic searching for fuel before embarkation. Finally found one here:
https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@43.1234218,5.9376257,3a,26.9y,141.16h,84.48t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sDpAt-KDPEMs5GwOdd2acOA!2e0!7i16384!8i8192?hl=en
My mate riding in front turned towards the garage, crossing over the end of the white line which delineated the bus lane.... only it wasn't actually a white line at all - that was an optical illusion. In fact, it was a half-moon sectioned raised kerb, about 3 or 4 inches high. He hit this at an angle, was caught completely unawares, and bounced into the air, only just managing to regain control of his bike. Following him in to the garage, I was able to swerve just in time and avoid it.

(Here's the view from the other direction: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@43.1232603,5.9379314,3a,15y,278.17h,76.71t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sLU98u20BIjVHk8FCm2Zxng!2e0!7i16384!8i8192?hl=en)

I get that the powers that be want to keep unauthorised vehicles out of their bus lanes, but like this? It could have been painted with coloured chevrons or something, but literally camouflaging a raised kerb as a white line? Jeez...

I had a Triumph factory tour booked for late October but now they tell me due to ongoing refurbishment it’s postponed, and issued a voucher so I can rebook in 2023. Not a big deal but I was looking forward to it.

Bedford to Birmingham. Forget it.

Applied for a job, mostly working from home and in the field, occasional trips to the office - in Birmingham.

I used to occasoinally get sent to that London in my old office job, and assumed this would be a similar commute. Walk to station, get train, arrive in the city.

It isn't. It's buses, and trains, with multiple connections.

I'm out. Evil or Very Mad

Looks Looks the same 'thinking' that gave us those lethal armadildos to demarkate bus lanes in UK.
The Arseholes who manufacture, implement and install those things need Bull Fucked.
