For the first time in many years I no longer own a motorcycle.
The touring Beemers went some years ago and the
CX stayed as a hack/tinker toy but thats's gone now.
Now I has a scooter
Yes! you heard me, a scooter

Get over it

On roads where traffic is doing less than 60, scooters are good fun.
Have tortured a couple of holiday rentals on mountain roads, good times.

Also comfy and practical.

Thumbs Up

CX gone, but why? You loved those com-stars!

Do you actually want another bike - I'm sure I can find a tinker toy in my shed if so.

Yep "like summer tempests came his tears" and all that
when I saw those Comstars rolling up on the trailer Very Happy

TBH I finally had to admit I'd just lost interest and got bored with it after 20 years of having
various CXs about.
I think a good sign it wasnt an impulsive action is, I dont miss it.
In fact I feel a sense of relief and I'm musing over what to tinker with next.

That wee 110 Vision is a 2018 model I got in exchange for services rendered
( not sexual ! no pillow biting involved! )
and would keep it as a runabout, but at 6'2" and 14 stone it feels such a weeny thing
and I cant get comfy on it.
It was a non runner and needed a fair bit of TLC when we stuffed it in the back of the Galaxy
and now it's ready for it's first MOT and
I hope when sold will provide funds towards my next project.
Money is definitely an issue for me.
I stripped every panel off it. Cleaned, checked, fixed and painted stuff.
Renewed a few broken panels, sorted the wiring, fitted a new battery and rear tyre
and had the engine out to remove a broken exhaust stud and you know what?
I enjoyed it!

Tomorrow the impulse buy arrives.....
Hope I haven't dropped a bollock

Watch this space

That's quite curious.

I realised I couldn't guess what bike you've got coming your way.

Inexpensive with good parts availability, plus not-an-80s-or-90s-Jap, plus low-to-mid capacity, plus not-4-cylinder, all the while offering a suitable level of tinkering challenge, not so quirky as a Ural as you're done with the BMW tourers, etc.

That leaves us with obscure enduros of the past, or possibly an Enfield.

Knowing what WD tends to like it's going to be a GT550 and not the probably slightly insane suzuki ones....

You're right, I despair.

Is that stash space big enough for your handbag though?

It certainly appears to have the ‘seat rammed up against the windscreen’ option ticked.

Is the space under the seat for storing tampons?
