I've forgotten loads of stuff and one of those things is best way to insure a second bike and if I can use the no claims from my main bike to reduce premium on second bike? Or do I just insure it with zero no claims?

LV do that for me with cars and bikes - they're also supremely easy to deal with.

These are also all seperate policies, none of that combined crap - you do not want a ding / crash on one policy affecting everything else on it.

Go for either a multi bike policy or you will have to start again with zero NCD.

When I insured the 125, it was as cheap to do a separate policy with zero NCD as it was to change my other policy to multi bike, the 748 would have been somewhat more on a new policy so I suppose it depends on what you're buying.

Something I discovered recently is if you have a separate policy on your second bike, it'll accrue NCD separately too. So the 0 NCD hit is only in year one, assuming you don't claim anyway.

Logic is use the NCD on the bike that's more expensive to insure and build up NCD on the other. Having two policies can also mean you can make them bespoke, so if your second bike won't be used for commuting, has lower miles per year etc.. you can customise it. When I had a multi-bike policy I found while I could list different annual mileage allowances, they had to have the same level of cover.
