When my eldest lad was about seven to ten yrs old we both had Traxxas Emaxxs, we'd walk them up to the local park in the villige where we used to live, like walking dogs without leads.
We'd take a rucksack full of batteries with us and razz em around and flip them on the skate ramps, happy days Very Happy , that 7yr old is 21 now, where did all that time go?.
Time flies by fast, make the most of it. Smile

Pics pls.

I have recently bought and built a re release Tamiya Wild One, I'm building a Tamiya Fire Dragon and I have a Toyota GT4 Rally from when I was a kid. all 1/10 scale.

I also have a 1/28 scale Celica GT4 which is made by Kyosho which is hilarious fun for drifting around the kitchen.

I completed my solar PV installation today, connected, commissioned and it's a bright sunny day. I've got an old fashioned meter and it started going backwards Laughing

Just the G98 paperwork to submit to SSE within 28 days and it's all done. Thumbs Up

I'm waiting on an immersion divert so that rather than drive the meter backwards, any excess is used to heat my water, Gears are truly oiled.

Turns out 3.5m³ of concrete was enough so not as expensive as first thought, went in fine, lads on the barrow made it simple.

Been curing a couple of days, been raining so not even had to hose it that often.

The little bastard enjoyed his first ever camping trip in the bugalow. With luck we haven't been banned from there due to the increasing raucous bahaviour of Ste and the two older bastards.

Pepperami the furniture repair man , has repaired two of our dining room chairs without breaking anything Shocked .

Okay it was just a case of taking them apart and re-glueing them back together and then putting them in sash-clamps until they were set.
I wish bikes were as straightforward to repair as chairs are Laughing .

Happy Pepperami is happy Thumbs Up

Took apart the dodgy car door lock, replaced bits and it all went back together and now all works.

I have spent the afternoon glammed up to the nines, scattering shiny black sequins from my LBD in Claridges whilst nomming cucumber sandwiches and scones with the Esteemed MCW for her birthday.

OK, so not today, because I have been indoors all day - although a lot of gear-oiling things have been happening generally.

But YESTERDAY when I happened to go into the office for a change - I seem to have unwittingly attracted the attention of my bus driver. As I got off, for some reason I turned around and I just caught him smiling and waving at me before I turned back ... made me grin all the way to work.

Wouldn't mind but I can barely remember what he looked like Shifty ... reasonably attractive, which is rare in bus drivers these days. Possibly younger than me by some years.

I vaguely recall that I was very pleased he pulled the bus up right where I was standing* and I suspect he also dropped the platform so I could get on without breaking a kneecap.

These days its more likely that he was just having a "Be nice to the Elderly" day. But I barely noticed, as I was extremely v.preoccupied with arranging the appointments of patients for the Italian shrink.

The last time I ignored a pleasant-looking man smiling nicely at me and holding a door open whilst I blithely ignored him, I ended up falling head over heels for the wanker for almost 20 years.

Rolling Eyes so fuck that for a game of soldiers Rolling Eyes

*leaning nonchalantly, actually Wink

oh yeah, and THEN ... later on that evening, Marc Riley played the Katy J Pearson song on BBC Radio 6 for which I was in the video (which he described as being "rather David Lynch") - when I was shuffling about in the background being a waitress - so I texted Marc Riley and told him so and also said I thought KJP was a cool chick. Eventually he read it out on the programme and then said, well if you were the waitress in that video then you must be quite a cool chick, too.

Cool Thumbs Up Yes Marc, I am.

My wife wasn't in work yesterday, so made a pasta bake for tea (I normally do most of the cooking). Gears oiled by that, but then into oily overdrive when I discovered she'd made a rhubarb crumble too. I am spoilt. Wub
