Hello everyone

I recently bought a 1986 CG125, and I believe it is the Brazil model. The seller had lost the V5 so I need to apply for one using the VIN number.

Question is the VIN number seems too short with only 14 digits. From what I can see it goes CG125BR XXXXXXX (with X's being numbers) anyone got an explanation? Is this the VIN and will the DVLA accept this?

Many thanks

The usual 17 digit VIN number is typically absent on older vehicles in which case you should write down the frame number in its place.
