In the UK I am looking to buy a 125 PCX the 2019, and will be doing some touring on it. Honda claims it does 70mph is what its capable of. I am really excited.
I will get a dualsport helmet to keep the rain of my visor and the increase field of view that the dual has.

Any concerns I should look out for?

Make sure you take some sort of stimulant before you ride it any distance so that you don't fall asleep from boredom.

Does "Some Touring" mean riding to the shops and back?

Type in ‘Scooter Touring’ into YouTube.
There are plenty of videos.

You’re welcome.

Scooters!!!!!
We all love scooters!!
I got a scooter, its a white one.
Ignore the others they're just jealous misery pants.

Concerns ?
Car drivers of course
Also the the PCX 125 might do 70 flat out but
pushing it at max all day might not be wise.
It should cruise happily at say 50ish so more suited to A road touring
than long motorway stints.
Don't overload it, having the kitchen sink on the back could make it a bit flighty up front

Carrying a newspaper may reduce top speed to about 28 mph

i had a PCX for commuting to/from work via main roads and a little of the A23 (speed limit of 50Mph) and the bike was perfect.

However, I had to do an emergency run to deliver something which involved a few junctions of the M3.
that was something I found very uncomfortable due being stuck in the slow lane and getting passed by everything including some very big trucks.

Joking aside, if you're prepared to avoid the motorways/dual carriageways (as they're not going to be comfortable) and to a lesser extent A roads (for the same reason), touring on a small bike does have some fairly significant advantages;

1) The bikes are small and light; if your accommodation doesn't have secure parking but does have an awkward garden/shed etc., a small light bike is far more feasible to be able to squeeze into a little hiding place overnight

2) Again, lightness and size - tiny back roads, squeezing to get past a car coming the other way, turning around on a narrow and/or sloping road are all far easier. If you're really exploring places, this is handy as not all roads lead to where you want or turn out to be what you hoped them to be

3) Fuel costs are peanuts which if you're watching your budget can make quite a difference over a big tour

4) Less likely to be "shunned"; non-motorcycle folk are more receptive to a little bike doing an apparently bonkers journey than a third of a tonne of shouty GS turning up and stopping people being heard as they talk to each other

5) Lastly but definitely not least, you're not likely to be scraping the pegs and will typically be going at a more sedate pace, so you can actually relax a bit more and see everything around you. After all, touring is about enjoying the journey!
