The Facebook Cuntsultancy are all over the Afghan Matter with many diverse solutions, so there's no need for anyone to worry too much.

It's very awkward the defend your Cuntry against your biological family. Probably more than half the Afghan forces had brothers in the Talibanery.

Apparently the Taliban are the acceptable face of Islamic extremism. Once the dust settles (after the airport's been blown up several times) there'll be a lovely 4-way civil war between the old government (if any are still left) the Taliban, Isis-K and Al Qaeda. On the bright side it should be a brief and bloody conflict given the amount of materiel they've inherited...

Maybe there was some method in the madness Thinking

I don't think they really have got their hands on anything game changing, loads of small arms which the place was flooded with anyway, lightly armoured wheeled vehicles (not much of a force multiplier) and some shit old russian transport helicopters that they won't be able to keep in the air for many hours. I don't think the yanks gave the ANA any real gucci kit, knowing full well it would be dropped more times than deployed. Maybe some night vision, that can be effective if used properly.

I think the main effect of it all will be Russia and China waiting longer before they get the chance to sell them (all sides at the same time) the dregs of their state arsenals Laughing

Going to be interesting to see how it all splinters.

There will be a few nasty little skirmishes then as Afghanistan has for a thousand years they will all work out some agreement and then settle down. If some lot want to start conducting terror attacks against 'murica i suspect the Taliban will quickly stamp them out.

One can predict that alot of the arms/ammunitions/vehicles etct will be sold with many of the small arms being found on our streets. So give it about 5 years and the druggy chimps and wanna be gangsters will have the guns from this debacle.

Won't the Taliban want the guns for themselves?

Getting them to the UK sounds like a lot of hassle compared to the usual sources for guns that are found on our streets. Confused

The shed loads of heroin the Taliban will have to shift to fund themselves is the real risk, cheap smak incoming! The Taliban are a narco-syndicate and see heroin as another weapon against the west.

Oh those American guns are a drop in the bucket. Guns are restricted in Britain but there are plenty of places that are flooded with guns, Afghanistan being just one of them.

And how much ammo? Apparently half the problem was that the afghan army didn't have any ammo for their fabulous americal guns.

And they have no idea how to use them. It should be snug into the shoulder.

It's not like a Kalashnokov which you just spray all over the place to keep peoples heads down.

Not too much to worry about, as the preferred combat technique seems to be standing behind a wall whilst holding the weapon above one's head and firing blindly at other people doing a similar thing. They'll soon run out of the Yankee ammo....

That is, unless our colonial pals start to supply the Taliban to boost the arms industry. If stories of ISIS in Afghanistan continue to be fed to us here in the west, you can bet that the Yanks will do just that...

No doubt the radios that go with those headsets are digital and the americans are flooding them with suitable music.

I would recommend this one.

Does anyone else think there`s something telling in the fact that the exiled Taliban arrived in the country on a Qatary military aircraft from Qatar where they've been living for years?. My take is theyve seen what a nice life they can have in a rich and equally religously bonkers Whahabbist state and now think they can carve out a simerler situation in Afghanistan. However, their country cousins might have other ideas when they see the leadership swanning about in shiny new Mercedes G-Wagons and jetting about in their Qatary mates Lear jets. Its going to be well worth ordering in the Hallal Popcorn over the next few years.
