In order to register it now, to self declare and pretend to record a negative LFT, you need to give them sensible stuff like your name and email, but they also want home address, phone number, DOB, NHS number. OK, I can live with that. But then they also want your employment status, employer name and address, other household occupants and their vaccine status.

Strangely I recently recorded a positive test and I wasn't asked any of the stuff you were unhappy about apart whether I'd been vaccinated and how long ago, which is quite reasonable from a research point of view.

Prehaps I should have put a donk on it.

Oh, I know what your issue is.

You cannot read properly.

On the page that asks whether you are at work, school etc. You didn't read the option that said 'prefer not to say.'

In fact, it's also now illegal in Snowflake UK, should you like to continue.

So you are admitting that you have two other accounts, both of which were karma'd to nothing by the members here?

When it walks like a donk, quacks like a donk and smells of racism, it's a donk.

Basically Marcus seems to think he has a hidden truth that he needs to share with us but tbh he really just needs his meds adjusted.

That's not nice.

You shouldn't assume Marcus's pronoun is 'this'. You should ask and wait for a reply.

There are no fetishes left to be new fetishes as all possible perversions have already been taken. Sad

The only problem with that is that you've chosen to put your information all over the public sphere for anyone to find and you certainly can't hide behind harassment legislation given your past behaviours. So no laws broken for calling a donk a donk eh Marcus? Laughing

Back to the thread topic, there is already an ad-hoc version in play for those in the public eye running on "clout." While one might understand actors pontificating on topics they know nothing about what need have the likes of LeBron James in the US and Andy Murray over here for such a debased currency?

To an extent for donkeys years our sportsmen and entertainers are expected to do charitable works to enhance their reputation.

Now they get called woke or virtue signalling for doing it.

For sure, there have to be means of guiding the energies such people represent, in the public at large.

They play a role equivalent to Roman gladiators: entertain, distract, divert, provide an outlet for frustrations, etc. Unfortunately, they can often gather a large following, and damage the interests of information, science and popular edification.

A certain boxer refused to fight in Vietnam, took an interest in some dubious and subversive movements, etc. in the 60s and 70s.
Today, there's a former MMA guy and comedian, with millions of followers who gets more listeners on his podcasts than major TV news, who says he doesn't believe in mandatory vaccinations, who appeared to recover quickly when he got sick, etc. He uses ridiculously constructed arguments, and presents inconsistencies and fallacies one after the other, which all feed into ignorance.
There's a top tennis guy right now in Australia, who - it's claimed - faked his vax exemption status. He challenged it, and won. He may well have been right, however the very fact he's a public figure makes this potentially harmful, in exactly the same way.
There was also a footballer in this country, in the run up to the last lockdown and during it, who took a lot of interest in politics. Perhaps more interest in politics than football. Again, this made people uncomfortable.

Yeah, I think that on the whole the specialisation of competitive sports is something that might be at the root of this problem. If we have a social credits system which involves transferability, this might help to solve potential issues. For example, say Lance Armstrong keeps winning the cycling races. Then, one day it's revealed he's all drugs, and he can't deny it. Then, Lance Armstrong credits fall in value, relative to the next athlete's. This might be the incentive for them to stay in line. Give them skin in the game and they'll play along.
