So I've had long running issues with getting a numb arse after about an hour and a half in the saddle. It's not bike specific (though some are better than others), I've just got a bony arse.
I've tried airhawks of a couple of different sizes, but I can never seem to get just the right balance between getting the pressure low enough to not feel like you're on a bouncy castle, and high enough that it actually does something. Gel saddles etc. are available, but they're expensive, not available for old bikes (though you could get inserts put in an existing one), and seem to have mixed results depending on who you ask.
I thought I'd try a sheepskin. Bought one and had some velcro straps added. I seem to reach a low level of ache with it after about an hour, but it never gets any worse than that. I'm really impressed to be honest. Have you guys had any success with them? ____________________ Current - '94 VFR750FR (Dead), '00 VFR800FI, 2011 CBF125 Previous - '10 Street Triple R, '92 MZ ETZ301, '05 TTR250, NSR125R, KMX125, "Honda" Win (chinese copy of an old Honda design with a C90 engine)

Yeah, I have them on my bikes, definitely seems to reduce fatigue. Stops you getting a sweaty sore arse in the hot weather too compared to sitting on hot plastic.
I think it allows your arse to move a bit more on the saddle without actually sliding about.
They sell square sheepskin pads with a tailored seam and quilted backing for people to put their babys on, these seem to be pretty robust. I just tied a bit of paracord through a hole in each corner and tie them under the seat. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen.
