Hypothetically, if I was in South Korea through work is there anything here I should buy that's cheaper (significantly!) than the UK 'for my personal use'? I'm thinking cigars, cigarettes, mobiles...
I'm curious what the price of new bikes is, subject to being able to be registered in the UK.

I'd say tobacco and alcohol won't go well through the customs.

From what I remember from going there on a ship in the 90's electronics were cheap, as fags were. Designer trainers were peanuts, booze wasn't. Kimchi was horrible, their driving was ridiculously bad and Pusan was one of the most depressing cities I'd ever been to.

Of course that was 20+ years ago so probably bears no resemblance to what it's like today. Laughing

I'm thinking getting a few fags 'for personal use' wouldn't be a bad idea, maybe ask around about mobiles. I've a chum who's requested Churchill cigars too.
I'm actually wondering if I could get a BMW M Performance exhaust too for my car. I'm just a bit unsure what the Korean for 'do you sell this tax free for export' is...

I'm now a few days wiser, and have learned -.

Nothing is particularly cheap. Apple products are a few percent cheaper, and I think you claim the Korean tax back which is ten percent I believe, but that sounds like too much of a faff to be worth it. Other products are no better, usually worse. I priced up a DeLongi coffee machine (220-240v), U.K. Cost £4375, on sale from 1,000,000 to 700,000 Wone - £650 reduced to £480. Mmmm, not many bargains here!

However there's a chain called 'Hollys coffee' who serves a hollowed out large bread cake filled with mushroom soup. An amazing idea!
