Just had a wheel bearing set through from Wemoto; inside the box of bearings was this thing. It's nothing to do with the bearings itself, some promotional thing, but what on earth is it for? It sort of snaps into a curl and has two self adhesive pads on it. I presume it has a purpose . . .

Well as Slinky Glide is a bike cable manufacturer I imagine there's your clue: hard to be more accurate without seeing the thing, but presumably it's intended to stick on the bike somewhere to help steer a cable to go in the right position?

Is it big enough to stick to the back of a phone or tablet to use as stand when watching movies?

I guess it could be for that, although it's quite large (roughly 35mm diameter when "curled up") so not sure how useful that'd be. It was in a pack of wheel bearings though, not cables!

I was thinking it might be like a ‘Seal Mate’ for lifting grains of dirt out of fork seals, but the self-adhesive pads suggest otherwise.

It's based on a kids toy which you can wear as a wrist band or open flat.

The addition of the adhesive pads would imply that it's for sticking somwhere useful ( maybe on top of a tank) and then can be used to hold something of a suitable size and diameter.

Horizonally? All the liquid would run out.

Clapping

How weird to send out something like that (evidently as a promo giveaway) without giving a clue what it is!

Cheers! Well now I know - not sure it'll attach to my leather 'phone case but could still be useful.

I thought it said "Stinky Glide" ...
Shifty

This raises several questionable trains of thought in the umbrous depths of the hellkat brain.

None of which are particularly savoury subjects, as you can probably imagine.

From the autistic branding people who named "Vagisil" and "Anusol".

Following Hellcat's slightly warped train of thought, I think it is a cock-ring with tickling attachment, and can be worn either way up depending upon one's partner's preference.
