Afternoon! Gosh it's nice to find an actual forum. So over social media..

Sooooo anyway, I have a 2006 Honda VTR250. It's been sitting for a while because it developed an issue. Now, this wasn't from sitting as it did this the last time I rode it. At the time, I was riding it 2/3 times a week.

So far, all I've done is check fuel hoses and the air filter to make sure nothing is blocked. All good.

I also let it idle like this today for about 10 minutes to warm up and it was doing the same thing (I took the video when it was already warm)

Video attached Smile

Thanks guys!

That Hammer Rash on the corner of the tank looks ominous. Laughing
Defo a fuelling issue.
Check the air filter. Maybe a rodent habitat.

How old is the fuel in it? And how long has the bike been unused?

Fuel was drained and replaced, 2 days ago Smile
Air filter checked and definitely no rodents hahahaha! It didn't run much better without the filter on.

I assumed it's something inside my carb. I can rebuild an engine but HATE working on carbs. Guess it's time to get a mobile mechanic out or just buy a new carb online.

No need to get right into it. Pull the carb, remove bowl and clean what you can see. Pull jets and blast with compressed air and you're probably good. As long you have basic knowledge (you sorted the rest after a crash? ), and don't strip anything out you'll be fine.
