I rang up to book an MOT for my scooter
and my usual guy couldn't fit me in until next Wednesday
( Waaaa! me wanty ride it now!)
I made a provisional appointment but rang a few others to see if I could get in anywhere this week
Nope.
Apparently its gone mad and car and bike MOT appointment books are chockers
One guy explained it's because the moratorium on MOTs during the lockdowns. has ended
So
If your car/bike MOT is approaching its renewal date, best book early

I did my car and the old bike as usual as well
This things been off the road for over a year so
another week won't hurt.
I'll just have to wait and do some more tinkering in the meantime.
Anyone who uses the car/bike for work, college, pickin up ho's
may find a delay inconvenient though

I mot at a car place. They usually fit a bike in between cars.
I think they are on a set quota. Depends on number of testers and test equipment at the test centre.

It's even worser for HGVs. They've been getting hammered for the past couple of years. Test centres closing and more trucks makes it difficult for operators. And government cutting testers too.
(Plus the tester at those places can be right little kunts.)
