Anybody should be fully fit to ride any motorcycle at any time.
There is only one loser if an accident occurs. |

One handed and a steering damper are both odd ways to solve your problem. The CBF600 isn’t the type of bike to find itself in tank-slapper situations so you won’t find a standard fitment. You’d need to adapt something like one of Harris Engineering’s kits.
I wouldn’t.

maybe you need some stabilisers. like i had on my first little push bike
im of an age now where i wouldnt dream of riding a bike one handed
and i certainly wouldnt want a sports bike if i had a shoulder injury. ____________________ current bike Yamaha Thunderace.

I had the bike before the injury, which medics currently do know the cause, hence the scan. I'm 61 and have ridden since the age of 17, and many a time have ridden with left hand resting on leg, even on group ride outs it just means riding accordingly and being prepared for anything.
I have always sat relaxed on a bike, I have never felt the need to grip the tank with my legs, and have the bars set to allow me to have loose arms- your more likely to break bones if you come off tensed up, but with this injury my shoulder and upper arm are in a lot of pain and there is not a position to hold it in to stop it hurting.
I have used the bike three times since the injury, twice for shopping and once for a ride to Kimbolton, and that was not a good run due to state of the roads. I rode two handed, but when I got home I could not use the arm to get my jacket off so have not been on it since. ____________________ I'm not weird, just wired wrongly |
