Axle fabrication

Hello all

I have an old Honda ATC200 trike with a snapped rear axle, just wondering if anyone knows of someone that could fabricate me one?

On back order from Honda

At a guess, it may be difficult to get someone to take a risk like that.
If it were to fail and injure some kuhnt then ambulance chasers would chase.
There might be a specialist with the material and spec. but as a 'one-off' it might be much more than the Mass Production effort of Honda (Who we know are not cheap anyway.)

Edit: Even if you promise/X Your heart that it will only be used in the field.

Ambulance chasers have 4x4 now-a-days.

As a one off it would cost an absolute fortune - setting up for machining the splines for the two hubs and the drive flange would be an immense amount of work . Ok if you are running off a hundred , but as a one off forget it. ( I know this as I did some of the development work for a Welsh set up called NDuro , who made axles for Yamahas)

Csmnl have three in stock at £533 OK I was looking at an 82 , not 1985 which is not in stock.

Or scour Ebay worldwide for one second hand.

Was it bent, or worn splines?

Hey NDuro are still going , or at least reborn ( moved from Cardigan to Swansea)- They seem to do Honda axles check it out

This is the axle, it’s off a 1985 and they aren’t available on CMSL

Rang NDuro and they haven’t got one either, there are some available in America however the shipping cost is 4-5 times higher than the cost of the axle.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a USA-UK shipping company?

Seriously though, I can't tell the make-up from the pic. Is it just a solid axle with splines cut into it or a tubular effort or what?
