I must admit I am totally gobsmacked with what is acceptable and what isn't at what age nowadays.
We have adulthood set at 18 at present yet we have the age of consent at 16 (and lets be honest, some girls under that can pass for well over) and then having the right to have birth control from their GP without parents knowledge. We have Labour wanting to lower the voting age to 16 or even 14.
Then we have people who say someone like Begum was a groomed child because the age of being an adult is 18 and others saying that someone at 15 knows right from wrong and should have to answer for their decisions.
Now we have this which is what basically mad me write this thread. Ruling limiting under-16s puberty blockers overturned So basically, if I have read it right, any CHILD can go and ask for these drugs to stop puberty while they decide what the fuck they want to be without telling their parents. Madness in my view but hey, I'm a dinosaur and kids grow up quick nowadays.
Now there are arguments for each end every decision but should we finally come up with an age that everything changes at, be it 14, 16, 18 or whatever. Before that age you are a child and your parents make all decisions for you. After that age you are an adult, treated like one with all the plusses and minuses adulthood brings. Votes, drink, crime and punishment, sex. 1 age for everything.
It just seems nowadays it's totally unhelpful for everyone with the what, where, when and this ruling to me is just a step further down the path to the bog of eternal ̶s̶t̶e̶n̶c̶h̶ confusion.
Or just say anyone can do whatever they like with or to their body at any age.
I'm glad my kids have grown up.

The one and only reason Labour want to lower the voting age is because it is easy to dress up leftist 'ideals' as attractive for younger people who have no wisdom. Tell a youngster they can have everything for free and of course they'll go for that rather than learning to be responsible for their own lives.
Part of the idea of the voting age being higher was that it was more likely you'd be paying taxes, so you ought to have some say in how they're spent. However, I think the voting age should be higher if anything - maybe 25. Just reduce taxes for those under voting age.
Lefties just crave power, regardless of the damage they do on their way to it. ____________________ Chickenystripgeezer's Biking Life (Latest update 19/10/18) Belgium, France, Italy, Austria tour 2016 Picos de Europa, Pyrenees and French Alps tour 2017 Scotland Trip 1, now with BONUS FEATURE edit, 5/10/19, on page 2 Scotland Trip 2 Luxembourg, Black Forest, Switzerland, Vosges Trip 2017

Tell me about it...
I read an article in The Times this week about Carrie and David Grant (he of 80s pop band Linx and apparently 'Songs of Praise' (The whole article is here, FWIW, but is behind a paywall).
So this pair have 4 kids. I quote:
Carrie Grant wrote: | "The three oldest were born girls; now all are 'trans/non-binary'. Olive Gray, the oldest, is 26 and non-binary," says Carrie. "Olive uses the pronouns they/them. Nineteen-year-old Tylan [a star in the Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks] is non-binary masculine, and uses the pronouns they/he so that is quite a big change. Our third child, who is 15, is currently called Arlo. They are non-binary — they would say they are a demigirl. Arlo has gone through, ‘I want to be a boy’, then it was, ‘No, I am not a boy, I am a lesbian’. The lesbian thing remained but the gender thing changed. Arlo is now a demigirl, someone who does not feel female. “Arlo was called Mae for two years until a month ago but their name at birth was Imogen. Tylan used to be called Talia. Olivia is now Olive. All of them really hate what they call their ‘dead names’." |

There seems to be some controversy over overriding parental consent regarding the Covid vaccines? ____________________ Chickenystripgeezer's Biking Life (Latest update 19/10/18) Belgium, France, Italy, Austria tour 2016 Picos de Europa, Pyrenees and French Alps tour 2017 Scotland Trip 1, now with BONUS FEATURE edit, 5/10/19, on page 2 Scotland Trip 2 Luxembourg, Black Forest, Switzerland, Vosges Trip 2017

What absolute bollocks.
You're making sure you score all your sjw virtue points aren't you? Where is the pressure coming from? Your missus? Your workplace?
